Aircraft Detailing at Lincoln Regional Airport (KLHM)

Karl Harder Field is one of the busiest general aviation fields in Placer County, with over 74,000 operations a year and a based fleet built almost entirely of owner flown aircraft. This is piston country, and we like it.

Built for the People Who Fly Their Own Aircraft

Lincoln is not a corporate jet field, and we do not pretend it is. It is one runway, a busy pattern, and a hangar row full of people who wash their own airplane on Saturday. We are here for the jobs that go beyond that.

Belly Soot and Bug Strikes Are the Whole Battle

Piston aircraft have two signature problems and Lincoln has both in abundance. Exhaust residue streaks the belly and bakes on until it stops coming off with soap. Valley flying loads the leading edges with bug strike protein that etches paint if it sits. Neither responds well to scrubbing harder. Both come off cleanly with the right products and enough dwell time.

We Price a Cherokee Like a Cherokee

Some detailers quote every aircraft off a jet price list. That does not work for a field like Lincoln. Our scopes and pricing here are built around single engine and light twin aircraft, so the number actually makes sense for what you fly.

Lincoln Questions

I have a single engine aircraft. Am I too small a job?

Not at all. Lincoln is mostly single engine aircraft and that is exactly the work we expect here.

Can you get years of exhaust staining off my belly?

Usually a lot of it, sometimes all of it. How much depends on how long it has been baking and whether the paint underneath is still sound. We will tell you honestly what to expect before we start.

Is a ceramic coating worth it on a piston aircraft?

Often yes, mostly because it makes the belly and leading edges dramatically easier to clean afterward. That saves you effort every single time you wash it.

Do you do owner assisted work or teach the process?

Ask us. Plenty of Lincoln owners like doing their own upkeep between our visits, and we are happy to set you up to maintain the finish we leave.
